Pet Rabbit Training
Rabbits are a wonderful pet for both adults and children. Many people are not aware that a rabbit is trainable, just like a dog. Rabbits love to interact with people and training them is the best way to make that happen. When training a rabbit repetition is important. In most cases, it will take 1-2 weeks to train a rabbit to do a specific task. Below are some of the things you can teach your rabbit to do. 1) Litter Training: Teach your rabbit to go potty in a litter box when out of his cage. Time Frame: 1 week 2) Beg: You can teach your rabbit to sit up or beg on command. Time Frame: 7-10 days 3)Come: Your rabbit will learn to come to you when you call him by name. Time Frame: 1 week 4) Go into Cage: Your rabbit will learn to go back into his cage on command. Time Frame: 2 weeks Training a rabbit is really quite easy as long as you are consistent with the training. Also, after you teach your rabbit to do something you must continue to practice with him 1-2 times a week. |
